First and foremost: our balloon vouchers remain valid at all times. That also makes ballooning at Airman unique. There is nothing more annoying than having to discover that a gift voucher has expired. We do ask that you contact us soon after receiving your voucher (maximum 15 months after issue) so that we together can plan the trip. Have you contacted us later than 15 months? Your check always remains valid for the value during purchase/receipt. By paying the small additional price - if our official rates have been adjusted - your balloon flight is guaranteed.
We love to make flights all year round. Of course you will see most hot air balloons in the spring and in summer, but we can also make beautiful balloon flights in the other seasons. We like to choose clear and stable weather. A weather forecast with winds of 1 or 2 Beaufort and without rain is ideal. In the winter period we even make trips above the Alps.
At regular balloon flights we do not seek extreme heights. A hot air balloon sails with the wind so we don’t feel winds in the basket and we also have that large burner above our heads. That is why we recommend wearing the clothing you would wear during a brisk walk: comfortable shoes and normal, not too warm clothing.
With the right weather conditions, there is no objection for young children to enjoy a balloon flight. However we prefer that they can look above the side of the basket to enjoy the view.
That depends on the weather conditions. Our pilot checks various weather models and official agencies on the day of the balloon flight. Depending on this, a take-off location and meeting time will be agreed. In the our region we have several take-off sites that allow us to make a one hour flight.
Our rates are very transparent: €155 including VAT per passenger.
Children up to 12 years: € 125 including VAT.
Everyone – both companies or individuals - receives an invoice.
Ballooning is the safest branch of aviation. Belgian balloon pilots are required to undergo regular medical check-ups and to make enough balloon flights per year to gain a routine. Every two years, a pilot must make a test flight with a recognized examiner, appointed by the Aviation authorities. All hot air balloons undergo an annual technical inspection and of course an inspection by the pilot before and after the balloon flight.
